The Royal Communication team has attended a webinar on LinkedIn and its possibilities for recruiting professionals. It has been very interesting, the 2.0 employment is more than a reality.
LinkedIn currently has more than 374 million users, of which 7 million are Spanish. In global terms we can say that every second two new users register in this social network. This means, for example, filling the Santiago Bernabéu 2 times a day. As for the group of professionals that grows the most in Linkedin, it is the recently graduated students. Currently there are more than 40 million users that correspond to this profile
We already know that it offers not only commercial solutions, but also marketing and recruitment. It is much more than an employment platform, where a lot of quality content is shared in a quick and personal way. Their algorithms make the information show in a segmented way, offering the most interesting content according to the user in question.
Regarding a recruitment strategy, we must know how to differentiate between active candidates and passive candidates. Active candidates are those who have an active will to search for a job, visit job offers, fill out forms, sign up for offers, etc. In short, you have an updated and prepared curriculum vitae.
The passive candidates for their part, are those who at some point in their professional career have had an updated curriculum vitae but do not have it today. They are not actively seeking employment.
This difference is very important, especially if you know how to use it when defining the recruitment strategy that will be carried out. Looking at LinkedIn data, 20% of users are active candidates and 80% of professionals are passive candidates.

LinkedIn with this tool, introduces the possibility of finding the ideal candidate, allowing the visit of profiles, contacting them directly without having any previous link, allows active collaboration between different recruiters and between recruiter and applicants, as well as perform certain searches according to specific criteria.
It is well known by all that employment 2.0 is already here. Technology has been a great revolution that allows us to obtain information that was previously much slower to achieve. LinkedIn, with its more than 300 million users, is the first source of recruitment with 77% of preferences, followed by Facebook with 46% and Twitter with 37%. According to Adecco, 69% of Spanish companies rely on social networks to recruit talent.
